Lightbulb extang classic soft tonneau?

I am planning to buy an extang soft tonneau cover for my truck. It is the snap-type tonneau, and it comes with a 3 year warranty. I thought I might ask around and see if anyone has had good luck with this tonneau cover before I buy it. I've never owned one before, so if there is anything I should know before I throw the dough... please let me know. Thanx.

I have the Sportmaster on a 2002 Screw.
Easy install with a screwdriver, cover snapped on neatly.
Maybe 3 to 4 months old. Wearing well and holds luster with the 303 protectant between washings.
I picked mine up off Ebay and I am extremely happy.

I noticed there is a special protectant/ conditioner that extang sells. Can I use just any protectant? Like armour all? Or stp son of a gun? Or should I stick with the stuff that extang sells? Thanx for any help.

Joe,

I've had an Extang snapless cover on my truck for almost two years! No trouble with it at all. I would not go for a snap model but what the Hey, still a great cover.

I use Mother's Convertable Top Cleaner on my cover and my Saddleman Hood Protector! Does a great job of cleaning. I never use any kind of dressing on either, I like the mat-black, no luster look and don't want to chance messing them up with someting the maker warns against doing . . .

"DO NOT USE" AMOUR ALL! Use the Extang Tonno Tonic . Extang tells you do not use Armour all whatsoever. Get it,got it,good!I have the Extang Black Max and love it. My neighbor has the sport master and the bows are thin, not like the Extang's fat bows.Plus Extang snaps are winter summer.Down for summer, filp them up for winter for easy on and off. Extang #1 selling covers.Excellent customer service.

Wink

Thanks for the helpful advice. I'll just buy the extang tonno tonic. It should last me all summer. I think.
