Anyone know who has some F-150 XLT Badges for sell?
Anyone know who has some F-150 XLT Badges for sell?
I checked ebay and I didnt find any.. I currently have a 1998 Ford F-150 and I tried the acetone thing but it didnt work... Anyone know the year when they stopped baking on the paint? Thanks.
99 and up
I heard that the acetone thing only works on 99 models and up. So i guess 98 was the last year they bake the badges. What happened to your badges? You should be able to get them at your ford dealership.
99 and up....
Well I went down to my dealer... and I asked him what year he had in them basges but he didnt really say... I said I would need one for a 00 just to be safe. He then said that he couldnt tell exactly what year the badges were, and they shouldnt make a difference. Well obviously they do because I cannot acetone my badges.
I have found some new SVT badges both on ebay and from my dealer, however they are unsure about what year basges they carry for the XLT emblems.. I guess I will just have to keep looking.

4X4PWR,
Check this site . . .
http://www.fordpartsonline.com/
. . . look under Fender, Exterior Trim, Nameplate
. . . and just take your pick . . . or call them and let Gary (or Brian or Floyd) give you the exact part number.
I have the badges off mine right now, they are at home and I am at work, but when I get home tonight I'll check the numbers and post them. If a part is year specific it will have a code in the part number, like the letter 'Y' for 2000 . . .

Finally . . .
. . . remembered to post the part number!
The 'F150 XLT Triton V8' badges from the fenders of my 2000 XLT SCab carry a part number of . . .
XL34-16B114-CA
. . . on the 'F150 XLT' part of the badge. The 'Triton V8' is a separate piece. It carries a part number of . . .
XL34-168114-HA
I replaced the 'F150' badge on my tailgate with a fender badge and they came as a set.
The 'F150' badge from the tailgate is part number . . .
F65B-16B114-AB
. . . it too can be acetoned!
You can only see the numbers after you remove all the double-sided tape from the back of the badge.
Hope this helps you in your quest . . .
