how do i fix this??
hey guys,
today i was drivng home on a road that was two ways in each direction. cars were parked on both sides. i was in the right lane and a rice rocket pulls up so i am even with him on my left. he tries to change lanes into my lane!!:o like the moron could not see my pick up truck. he runs me right into a side mirror of one of the parked cars. it scratched the side of my truck. i need to know about a good polishing compound or whatever that will fix this. it is long but really not that bad of a scratch i don't think. it does not look that deep. i can see white a little bit in some parts but barely.anybody know how to deal with this? thanks.

i had something like that happen to me. coming back to school from lunch, i was going in by a tree, and it didn't occur to me that the branches may hit my truck because i don't normally use that entrance. well, it put abunch of large, long gashes in my black paint. i got it washed but they were still there, so i went and got some turtle wax polishing compound from walmart. its white, in a large, tuna can shaped can i guess. i buffed it with it, then some polish, then waxed it, and they went right away.
You got lucky with that Turtle Wax junk! It is very inconsistent quality, if you can use quality and TW in the same paragraph. TW polishing compound has VERY large random abrasive chunks in it that will scratch worse than the original cause. Do yourself a favor and get some Meguiars or other"quality" polishing compound.,,,,,98

TW SUX!
