Is This Ugly Or What...
as I recall they call those "speed humps" or something like that. I agree I dont know who would want them... but then again I've seen some messed up stuff that I hate at first but once I get used to it I really like it so go figure!

I think those humps are supposed to be headrest fairings. On the older open ****pit racers of years ago the driver's head stuck out higher than the body lines and totally disrupted the otherwise clean airflow over the car. The aerodynamic fix for this problem was to blend in a fairing behing the driver's head. It was not uncommon to see one or sometimes two such humps on roadsters, CanAm cars, or Daytona models.
While I do recognize the retro look as mimicking the hump's racing heritage, I think it's absurd to be use on a vehicle with a totally enclosed ****pit because it cannot serve it's intended purpose. If it were Zora Arkus Duntov, Smokey Yunick, or even Carrol Shelby that designed that bed cover it would most likely be of a fastback design or maybe even a notchback to still give the driver some rearward vision.
Judging by the height and width of the humps the intended driver would have to be a pumpkin head to pullof the aerodynamic effect! LOL
