Cool acetoned badges

I just acetoned my front and rear badges last night and all I can say is wow!!! They look fantastic. My wife even went on and on about how good it looks and said now I needed the clear lights to go with it (meaning the lightning heads and corners I showed her). It was quick and easy and I recommend this mod to anyone.

Interceptor,
Did you mask around your badges before you did it to protect the paint? Also, did you acetone the outer sides of the badge?

Thumbs up

I did mine last summer, although the tailgate one was stock until a month ago. If you paint the letters black again, they really jump out at you,,,98

Screwyou-
Yes, I did tape around the badge instead of taking it off the truck. I used that blue masking tape that comes off easy. I used some Q tips and cotton pads and wiped the black away. I did not go all the way on the outer edges to the paint. It wasn't worth the risk and you can't even tell the edges are still black. I was very careful with not getting any acetone on my truck's paint

Just completed doing all three badges. Looks excellent!! Wish I would of did it sooner. The badges compliments the look of my oxford white/silver Screw with chrome tube steps.

I did the entire badge including the outer edge. Anyone else wanting to do this shouldn't have a problem as long as you mask carefully and take your time.
