VentVisor
I have never had a problem at the car wash with mine, I mean, I don't hold the pressure washer to it or anything, but still no problems. One time, however, it did RAIN hard enough to tear them off, and I went back to buy some 3M tape and the guy told me that if the tape had just come loose during the rain, then the product wasn't right, and they GAVE me a roll of the 3M tape. Reattached, never been better, been on for a little over two years and not one single problem from them yet. It was only a $2 roll of 3M tape, but it's the thought, that was nice of them, they didn't have to do that. Raoul is right, ALCOHOL PREP, and I ain't talkin `bout your prom date!

Does anyone has any problems with the 3M tape and using a car wash? I want to install a Ventvisor but I worry about the car wash and the visor falling off.

The same tape (or VERY close relative) that holds the VentVisor on is used throughout the industry to attach nameplates, body side moldings, and claddings - including the Body Side molding on the F-150.

I think NASA uses 3M tape on the Space Shuttle.
I know it's the only thing holding my muffler on and that thing gets pretty hot.
(Just in case you really weren't convinced)

If it's not too late, don't overlook the WeatherTech brand window visors.
They don't use tape, are "lower profile" (for a more subtle look), extend down to the sill, and are easily removed for cleaning and detailing.
They cost a bit more, but are worth the ~$70.00 USD.
I don't sell 'em, but I am sold on 'em!

I have the Wind Stream brand I bought them at Autozone they have been on the truck since Spetember of 2000 and the fit on the rubber black trim and they are still holding tight.

You would think that NASA would already have the windows tinted so much that ventvisors wouldn't be necessary but, the mere fact that they would stay on during liftoff is enough to convince me it's a firstclass product.
(I think if I saw them on a Russian spacecraft though the first thing that would come to mind is --- RICE.)

Spend the few extra bucks and get the WeatherTech window visors. When installed, it's clean and natural looking. Better fit, quality, and no god-awful sticky tape.

Now if only the WeatherTechs came in the dark tint. The Ventvisors in black look sweet on my truck but maybe the clear would of too.
I too have a set of these on my truck... they have held up for the past 6 months with no problems... I put them on the rubber trim as the instructions tell you too... used the alcohol prep pads and just basically followed the instructions... I've taken it thru the car wash several times... no problems... I love em and would do em again... although I didn't apply the rear ones for the supercab... didn't like the idea that they stuck to the paint and looked like they were just thrown on there... so I left them off... have em in my storage bin... don't know why I kept them....
