So, the weather is breaking here in western Pa., and i took a ride to the local Pep Boys to get some cleaning stuff for my ride. I am eager to try using a clay bar this spring and bought a Mother's brand clay kit. i thoght i heard good things about it on here, i hope i got a good brand...any advice on using this thing? do's and dont's...i cant wait to shine up the ole girl! also getting my hood wet sanded, so i am gonna wait to clay and wax till that gets done so she will really look good!

 

i use mothers and it worked great. dont push down on the bar kind of slide it across the paint, use enough of the spray but dont soak it

 

I use the Zanio clay bar. I think they are all the same. The Zaino bar looks like the sticky yellow poster putty or a flexible eraser.

 

My understanding is that they are all pretty much the same. You should be happy with the Mothers. Just test and practice on a hidden area first (until you are comfortable with using it)
