Question Contico Tool Box

I am thinking of getting a Contico blow molded plastic tool box for our truck.
How does it install in the bed so that no one steals it?
If you have this one - do you like it?
TIA

If you are going to put anything heavy in the tool box go with aluminum. The plastic tool boxes will sag in the middle if you load it up with tools. If its just for light weight storage shouldn't be a problem. I have always attached my tool boxes with self tapping lag screws. Just align tool box and shoot the screws in with a drill and bit. Have hit the tool box many times with the front of my four wheeler and it doesn't budge. It does bend the lid of the tool box though.

they even sell the aluminum boxes in black if that was what you were going for. most plastic boxes i've seen get warped when out in the sun too long with any weight in them.

i completely agree with you guys. the plastic boxes i have owned always sagged with any weight. and, of course, your slider tray will not stay in the track. i bought one new, and a couple used when somebody i worked with needed to sell one. they were always the same. definitely go with the aluminum. good luck, Rich.
