plastic moulding removal?

I want to remove that piece of plastic on the bottom of the tailgate. Does it come right off? How is it attached? Are there any holes in the metal after removing it?

thanks,
josh

nope, bottom of tailgate. I've got a 97 xlt and there is a thin stripe of plastic moulding on the bottom of the tailgate right above the bumper.

It just snaps on. Pull gently our you'll see bends in it.

pgh_medic,

have you taken off the plastic bedrails? My black 2001 has grey bedcaps, I really want to get rid of them and either purchase some black ones or have the bed liner sprayed over the edge of the bedrail so it's all black. Do you know of a good place to get black bedrails? Or, would it be possible to fill in the holes and then have the spray liner done?

thanks for your help, zeusaric
