Question LED Taillight bulbs

I recently installed some LED taillight bulbs and everything works fine except the turn signals. They blink WAY too fast. It blinks the same as if one of the bulbs were burned out. Has anyone come across this problem and if so, is there a solution to fix it? Thanks.
By the way, I installed them on my 2001 F-150.

I believe there is a relay, controler etc orsomething that controls this. I really don't know. I am interested in what type of lights you installed, are they brighter, do they created a pattern etc? Details please, oh, and yes, the cost. Thanks

Hz Engineering web site has load kits to fix this problem. I have not install LED's but my understanding is that the LED does not put enough resitance on the flasher unit so it blinks fast as if your bulb is burned out. Here is the explanation from their FAQ page.

Q: Why do my turn signals flash fast when I install LED bulbs?
A: This is a common problem on most newer vehicles. The
origional reason why your blinkers flash fast is to allert you
that you have a burnt out signal bulb. The reason that they
flash fast when LED bulbs are installed is that LED's are very
energy efficent. They use so little current that the signal circuit
see's them as a burnt out bulb.

Flasher Load Kits

Stock # Description Price
Hz-2LOAD Load kit for a 2 bulb app. $15.99
Hz-4UPLD Load kit for a 4+ bulb app. $20.99

Hope this helps out.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll give you the straight up on these LEDS. I bought them from the local speed shop for $8.50 each. They are a direct replacement for the stock bulbs. I bought them because I like the direct "on - off" that LEDS have. I think they are brighter than the stock bulbs, BUT they don't light up the whole lense as full as the stock bulbs do. I think they look very cool and if you like to be different than the rest of the ford trucks out there, these are for you. By the way, the ones I have are from American Products Company (APC). I think they have a web site, but i'm not sure what it is.
