Exclamation Need Headlight HELP!!!

I installed APC Super Whites over a year ago. LOVE THEM!!! They are so bright. 100 / 80.

However, tonight I notice my bright light indicator is partially lit, so I check my headlights, and what do ya know. One side is hardly working. I remove them and install the OEM headights, and get teh same thing. What in the heck is "broke", and what is a safe wattage light to run if I can't go all out with my beasts? Is their some type of upgrade or other? Thanks!!!

Exclamation

Some people have had trouble with the 100/80 watt bulbs. The headlight harnesses were melting because the high wattage bulbs were overloading the electrical system. This "may" be your problem. Give the harness a look, and see what's up. Once the problem is found, I'd recommend a factory wattage xenon bulb. They give you the brightness, without frying the harness. Good Luck, I have a feeling you're going to need it,,,,98

Smile No Problems

I have the 100/80 and I havent had any problems yet. (Knock on wood) But it seems like my low beams are brighter and more intense than the high beams (like the highs are more spread out)

Exclamation Update...

Had to replace my harnesses, but everything seems fine now. I talked with the shop that I got the 100 / 80's from, and they said that they did away with them, and that Eurolite now offeres a "New Generation" bulb, in stock watage that's HID look-alike, and is brighter than the 100 / 80's. Picked a pair up, and what do ya know...even whiter, and lots brighter!!!

Thumbs up

Glad to hear it worked out for you, sorry about the harnesses, though
I've got stock wattage Eurolite xenon bulbs in mine. They ARE nice and bright! With euro diamond headlights, they are even brighter,,,,,98

Thanks Jackal!
I got very lucky on ebay on those headlights, $125 plus shipping!! That's about $75 less than anywhere else I've seen. People still have to pick up their jaws when I tell them that,,,,98

I still miss the old bumper
