Hello all, first time poster and new proud owner of a 2000 4X4 F150 I was surfing the online store and the lighted ford logo for the tailgate caught my eye. Was wondering if anyone owns one and has had any problems with law enforcement. I want to mount mine on my tailgate because of my billet grill and wondering how the authorities would take to this blue light if they were behind you on the road. Any experinces with this?

 

Do a search here on that subject. There was a lot of discussions previously. Personally, I've never been bothered. Close friend is PD and he said he would never site anybody for it. State Police might play differently. A couple weeks ago after a few beers and some Keno, my Bride and I ordered pizza on the way home. The joint is a hangout for the local PD and sure as BS, three of them were dining there when I arrived. My logo is on the grill and I saw the three of them staring at us as we pulled up in front of the window. I knew they were looking at the logo. They never bothered me even when I had to squeeze behind one for a bag of chips. Thank God for the leather smell permeating from my jacket to hide the smell of beer! When I got home I thought about how stupid that was to go for the chips! ennis

 

Thanks for the reply. I am still awaiting for the search feature to be enabled so I can look into this a little more but I think I will just go ahead and get one.

 

NorthCoast Performance was the frist place I ever saw them, just do a search on a search engine and look for NorthCoast, they have them, or you could check eBay, but I am an eBay w#ore, so I will always recommend that. Hope ya find what you are looking for!
