White Face Gauges

Well, my Indiglo gauges quit working for some reason. Not sure why. Anyway I installed some new APC white face gauges. They work off of the factory lighting at night. They are pretty cool. I still liked the indiglo better, but for now this will work.White Face Gauges

There is one that is blue at night also right? That looks good. If there is one that shows blue like yours shows red I think I'm going to have to get one.

How hard is it to install those ? About how long does it take ? I saw some flame ones that were sharp.

It's not very hard to install. Just make sure you put the needle's back in the same place or you will have incorrect gauge reedings.

Do you have to pull the whole gauge pod or the dash or what ?

You just need to pull the head light switch out, the peice around the steering column, and the peice around the gauges. It should come with instructions when you get you new gauges. It is really a pretty simple install.

I've seen them installed and they look cool. They look distracting and hard to read at night though.

Those look really great! I would love to get some of those, the mod fund is frozen, though. Looks good!

Question

I really like those gauges..where did you get them? How do you like the red at night? Does it look OK with the green lighting from the rest of the dash? One last question, are the guages white when the lights are off? Thanks

Question

When installing the "indiglo guages", how do you get the headlight switch out? I pulled the piece off around the steering wheel, then removed all the screws behind that and above the guages, but the switch won't move. What am I missing?

mjhpadi,

I got them from http://www.stylinconcepts.com/. They look ok at night with the other green lights. I'm trying to figure out a way to change my other lighting to red also but I haven't had much luck yet.

spd831sam,

My switch popped out with a flat head screw driver, then I disconnected the 2 plugs and that was it. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

Ok, thanks. I tried that a little, but I didn't want to break anything, so I eased up on it.
The UPS guy should be arriving with the guages tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes.
