Navigator front cilp?

I have a two parter.

1. I'm going to buy my first F150 and I know I want the falreside, but I just wanted to know what year do you like. I hear the 2000 and up are better on gas the then the 97 to 2000.

2. I wanted to know if anyone here has put a Navigator front clip on there F150 and what does it cost. I do like the look if adds but wouldn't be willing to spend $1000's on it.

Thanks,

im really nto sure that the mpg realy changed to much. ive seen the cadaliac one for the chevys and the kit cost around 2k and then you can probley put another 500-1000 in labor and then it needs to be painted so that would be an expensive mod. i have a 00 and get around 16-17 mpg both city and highway combined. and welcome if you read around you will find ALOT of good stuff

look for ThePyroManiacKid. he has done this, i think there is actually a post about how much it cost. i think it would be best if you could find a wrecked navigator in the same color as your truck, that would save some money on paint and such. as for the mpg question, i dont know why there would be much of a difference. except that they redid the heads in 2001. but i dont think that would make a noticeable difference. my 2000 4.6 gets about 16-17 combined, but i like to take off from the stoplights
