Question Husky mud guards for Supercrew

Hi all,

Does anyone have any pix of the Husky mud guards on a 4x4 Supercrew? I would like to get some form-fitting mud guards but still want my truck to look like a truck, know what I mean?

I seem to recall seeing a thread discussing Husky mud guards vs. the Ford factory mud guards, but I can't seem to find my way back to it.

If anyone has pix and/or opinions, I would surely welcome them.

Thanks,

mud guards

Are husky mud guards better than Ford Catalog Mud Guards? I have a 2002 Extended Cab (4dr) and am shopping for best sort of mud guards [both front and rear]. Any help and suggestions are appreciated. Thanx. Uncle Charlie

Thumbs up Flaps

I put the same post up when I got my Screw in Nov. The response was well in favor of the HUSKY. The reports of the FORD flaps were that the are alittle smaller and the mounting pins were alittle short for the rear pins. I put them on and have no regrets, I will try to post pictures tommorrow. Good Luck

go with husky

I put on huskys on the front and back. Yes they are wider than the ford ones. The only problem is that you have to take off the rear wheels to install the rear ones. Also you have to drill through the inside lower portion of the fender flare to install them.
If you go to the other site, I have pictures up (f150world) from the side and you can see them. But the bottom line is I like them.

Smile Thanks

Hey guys,

Thanks for all your comments - I'm looking forward to seeing your pix.

Next question(s): Who has the best price for the Huskies? I checked out www.Roadworksauto.com and they have them for $62 total for both pair (free shipping). I searched a few other sites and saw similar prices. Has anyone seen a better deal? Do any autoparts stores carry them (I haven't seen them anywhere around Portland)?

Cajunscrew - I'm going to try and check out your pix on F150world. Hope I can find them!

Thanks again,

I have the Husky's as well. They are much better than the Ford flaps IMO. Surely a truck accessory place could get them for you. I paid ~26/28$ a pair for mine from a local place - though it pays to shop around...

Does Husky have models for a Screw with running boards but WITHOUT fender flares? This is what I need. They seem to think all Screws have flares. I do not. Early Gen 1 XLT 2WD did not have flares. Mine was built 6/00.

Go to Husky's website at http://www.huskyliner.com/fordguard.html

They make 'em.

Thanks Montinore, that is good news. The last time I checked their site they did not have them listed and all the sites that sell them still don't but now that I am armed with actual part numbers I should be able to get them.
Thanks again!

Mike - Thanks for posting the picture. Looks good - nice work on the logo.

It sounds like the Husky's are the way to go. I doubt that I will paint them, as my truck is silver and black so they should look fine straight out of the box.

Thanks again!
