Need feedback on custom interior work

I am planning on doing some major remodeling of my interior this month. I have a red Lightning and need to know what you guys think would look better. I am getting all the hard plastic in the interior painted titanium and all the black is going to be covered with carbon fiber. I am replacing the seats with racing seats. I prefer the Corbeau Carrera (www.corbeau.com) racing seats for the interior but I am not sure which color I want. Since the exterior body is red, I kinda want to go with the red seats to match (and I think it will look more custom) and have the wear pads (black accents on the seat) painted titanium. If I get the red seats, I am also going to get the leather door panels (currently black) stained red to match and maby a few other small red accents in the interior. I am not sure how the red would match with the gray and black (carbonfiber).

Would this look good or should I go with the black Corbeau's with the titanium painted accents? Please give me feedback so I don't do this and get ragged on!!!! Any feedback is appreciated wether it is good or bad. Thanks.

whatever you do... do not dye the leather any other color. do whatever you want to your truck, but make it so the truck can go back to stock whenever you want. You will save money in the long run.

i agree, you dont want to die the leather, but not for the same reason...i have found that when you die ANY kind of material, it doesnt last...it may look cool as can be at first, but over time the normal everyday wear and tear of the material takes its tole on the dye and it comes loose...think of how many times in a year your leg rubs against the door while driving, or you touch the door panel when getting in and out of the truck...

also, i would go with the red seats, but not much more red in the interior...red is a dominating color, and you dont want to overpower everything else...i like the red seats with some red accents here and there...red painted vents? red pedal pads? something like that...

just my $.02

Just a suggestion is have you seen billet ***** and shifters and such. I think they stand out and look nice.

Yea, the billet looks sweet. I am going to do everything I can in billet except for the a/c which I have a Navagator control face.

be wary of brighter seats, sometimes the sun makes the color reflect off of the windshield and makes it's harder to see out of that portion.

I like the Carrera seats and agree that the red would look sweet.

IMNSHO, if you're going to put billet aluminum everywhere, stick with a really dark interior, the contrast will make it look nicer.

Are you going to install 4/5 point harnesses?
How about a custom center console?

I want to make a custom fiberglass console with a 12" speaker towards the back part (behind where you would put your elbo but slanted facing where the headliner and window meet.) The front portion of the median will have a Play station II, cd changer, (TV in the A/C din) and hopefully some other goodies. That will not be for a while though due to $$$$$. I'm shootin for the cover of trucking mag in the next few years!!!LOL

If you aim a speaker towards the roof, you're going to be annoyed by how much the map light thing rattles. Aim it straight back and reinforce the back wall of the cabin.
