F150 Logo

I just got a billet grille and I am having it installed on Wednesday. I want to put an emblem back on the grille so it doesn't look to plain but I want something different. I was thinking of putting an F150 logo on it. I want something that says 'F150' in little block letters. I can't find anything like this though. Has anyone seen anything like ths and do you have any opinions? Thanks

I don't know if this will work, but you could get a emblem off the rear of a lightning and cut off the SVT part.

Thumbs up

Here's something I've done before on other vehicles. Take a look around you at earlier models, and see if there's an emblem that looks like what you want.
I know some of the seventies and eighties F-150's had small lettering on their fender emblems. If it's off a really old year model, check the back of magazines for truck resto parts dealers. You could even get a fender emblem from a 97-up, and wash it down with acetone for a cool billet effect.,,,,98

I did this to my fender emblems, if you used the one that simply says "F-150" it would look pretty cool. Good luck!!

XLT-Sport,

Got to agree with '98, an acetoned F-150 emblem would look wicked cool on you grille . . . !

I had a web site a couple of months ago that sold all kinds of old emblems for Ford trucks . . . if I find it again I'll send it on.

thanks fo rthe input....I got my grille installed and it looks SWEEEET. I'll try to get some pics on this weekend. The only hting is, the grill whistles when I'm at about 55 to 60 mph. It's not that loud but It might become annoying later on. Anyone else have this problem.

'87 to '96 XLT Lariats had small FORD letters on the red reflector on the tailgate. These would probably be the right size for your grill.

The other option for a billet grill is either a Taurus grill emblem or other aftermarket. There are many posts and photos of these emblems in place in past posts. Do a search and see some other possibilities.

good luck.

XLT,

Check out the emblem in this thread..I believe its a 2001 Taurus grille emblem. I just ordered one from Gary @ fordpartsonline.com to install on my new Precision Chromed Billit grille. I'll let you know if its this pretty in real life...
