Hood locks
Hood locks
I was wondering if any company makes a hood lock for an f-150 i need one because i just baught 20's and i do not want anyone cutting off my alarm to steal em also what company makes the best locking lug nuts the ones with the keys.
Mind you that i haven't any first-hand knowledge but looking at my '98, all that needs to be done is break a couple of the grids on the plastic (if stock) grille insert and reach your hand in and move the hook.
On my '62 Tbird, which has a broken hood latch cable, I simply put my tire jack rod thru the grille to the hook latch, push gently, and voila!
And lastly, if you are relying on the stock alarm...Alarms need power. If someone is quick and determined, popping the hood and unhooking the battery takes 15 seconds. And I don't think the alarm will go off if just the hood is popped although i don't want to annoy the neighbors and test that theory...

Ya i know all about that. I have a plan im going to get a new alarm sometime soon what i plan on doing is making the guys who install it hide the stuff so that when thieves look at it they are like where the hell ? and get a backup battery. I need to find some who sells lug locks man there are just too many things to get to make your car safe... I need to tint my windows too man this sucks !!!!
