Help with Light bar on my Expy
Help with Light bar on my Expy
I recently purchased a light bar for the roof of my Expy......A **** Cepek rack with 4 KC daylighters mounted on it for $105....gotta love Ebay!!! This thing is in brand new condition.....what a deal!
I was wondering, what kind of wiring harness do i need to get to wire it up. Im not to knowledgable when it comes to my car's electrical system. If nothing else, where can i get the harness for a good deal, so if it do take it somewhere to get it hooked up, they won't charge me and arm and a leg for the harness. Is there anything else i need?
Thanks alot!!

You should be able to get KC Wiring harnesses pretty much anywhere. If you want to go the non name-brand route, just pick up some 30 amp relays, a ton of wire in three different colors, and head over to kclights.com for some wiring diagrams

Matt....how did you mount the two middle lights on your brush guard? I have a Manik that had to holes already there that allowed me to mount two daylighters, but i want to mount two more in the center....how do i do this? Do i drill straight through that bar?
Thanks
Thanks
I just drilled four new holes, I looked at how it woul dlook if I were to mount two in the existing holes and drill two mroe, looked too bunched together. I know mudder and a few others put new bars on there brush guards to hold the lights a bit better, but I've had no problems with my setup.
Matt, thanks for the help. Did you put anything in the holes once they were drilled to keep them from rusting out. For example, the holes that are already there have those rubber grommets to keep water from getting in.
Matt, did you wire up the lights on your light bar? If so, what do i need to get to wire it up.....all i have right now is the bar and the lights. If you didnt do it yourself...how much did it cost?
