LED Strips?

I am looking to take my side emblems off and flush mount a set of led strips in the space where the holes are (probably cheaper than shaving the emblems).

First does anyone know where to find the LED strips and

Second will I have to re-paint anyways after cutting the sheet metal. I don't think I will have to because Darin (Manbag) did this to his truck and he did't have to do anything.

Anyways the first question is most important I think.

Thanks for the help
Jimmar

JC Whitney is starting to carry a large number of strips and LED lights, you might want to try there. They do have a set of oval LED side markers, but they are only about 3-1/2" wide.

I have been thinking along the same lines but decided the strips would not work to well! On the left fender the leading hole is high and the trailing one is low - on the right fender its the other way around.

Now I'm looking for a side marker light with housing that would cover the small holes. The small holes are almost 7" apart. I really don't want to go the fill and repaint route, yet. But so far, no joy . . . !

I am looking to do the same thing. No repainting for me. Thanks for the tip... I'll let you know if I come up with something.
