First off do you have the 99-00 bumper or the 01 bumper. I had to go through this hassle too. The brackets for the 01 will fit a 99-00 but the fog light holes will not match up. As for putting in the brackets hold it so you have 1 small hole facing you, 1 small hole on the bottom and the 2 big holes on the top. that is how it fits into the bumper. On the chrome bumper where the cover fits over you should have 2 screws on the top which previously held the upper part of the bumper, reuse those bolts on the bracket. The one hole that should face towards the back of the truck should line up with the hole in the bumper cover as does the one on the bottom. There is one bolt that holds that diagonal bar behind the bumper that you must take out then screw back in cause it threads through a hole in the middle of the bracket. Sorry about the vague explanation, its hard to explain and without pics you probably wont know what im talking about but just play with the bracket and you will see what im talking about and how it fits in.
Hey do you think you can crawl under your truck and take a pic of that if u have a digital cam that is if not its ok i thank you for your help im gonna try that tomorrow
Thanks

sorry i dont have a digital camera. Ive been meaning to pick one up. Hope what i said makes sense, the only hard part is trying to find the top bolts of the bracket. the other holes you should see immediately in the bumper cover, one in the very edge of the bumper cover by the wheel and one on the bottom on the corner.
Ok i got the fog brackets on now i have no idea how to get the The fog lights in lol its funny also i have the little v shaped thing which i think is supposed to go ontop of the fog light bracket or something im not sure but i have no idea where it goes ither anyways my fog lights have one hole and the bumper cover has one hole at the bottom and 2 at the top where the fog lights go in so i feel like i might be screwed !! hehe i might just have to make my own brackets !! i can barely weld but i would do it anyways any info u can give me on these other 2 questions i have for you thanks again

Yup your about to get screwed just like i did. For some reason, i dont know why, Ford decided to save money and after the 2001 lightnings came out with the crystal clear foglights they decided to use that bumper for all trucks and to use it for all years for replacements. The reason the bumper has 3 holes is because the 2001 fogs fit in there, the earlier fogs with the one bolt could fit in but you have to start cutting things and they will never sit in there right. I started to realize this when i put on the fog light bracket and the holes on it didnt match up to the bumper nor did the fog light. So i had to shell out another 170 dollars for the 2001 lights and brackets. The brackets are the same just that they dont have any metal going behind the fog light hole. As for the fog light it just pops in the 3 holes and thats it. I think some one said Ford offers some kind of repair kit to fit the 99-00 fogs in the bumper but im not sure. Im kind of glad it worked out that way though cause i love the look of the 2001 lights. Hope this helps.
Well guess what i think i have the 2001 fog brackets from how you explained it and the things bolted up nicely so i think i will call ford parts online and try and return these and get the 2001's i think it will be worth the time not to have the hassel of cutting and **** although i could get a body man to do it ! anyways I am going to be ok i think cuz i have to bitch at a body man about a bad paint job so he might help me for free im not sure but if not i will just order the 2001 lights hey how did you wire your fogs in ???hehe im just a bundel of questions anyways thanks

Thats cool, at least it all fit in. When i got the 2001 fog lights it uses a 9005 headlamp bulb that sticks out the back which makes it easier to change and puts out more light than the 99's. To wire it i just got the female plugs for the bulbs at a auto parts store and grounded the bulbs to some bolts nearby. As for the power i connected both fog light power wires and then ran a 3rd wire off of that to a switch i put under my steering wheel. Then i ran it to a constant 12v source from my fuse box so i could turn them on and off whenever i want. Its pretty simple.
