I have a question that might sound very stupid.. i am not a super trucker so i dont know my partsw.. iwould like to become one but it takes time. On my 97 ford 2x4 there is what apeears to be an extention on the front bumper. is this ford's version of an air dam? my bumper is chrome and this is blakc and extends down about 12 inches. Just wondering thank you for being patient.

 

What it sounds like you are describing is the Airdam it self.
