Looks

I have a 1997 Ford F 150 REg CAb Longbed. IT is a manual with the V-6 in it. It is White with a bedliner and railliners. It has little options but is in superb conditon. What price would you estimate the truck to be? Also i am thinkin aoubt lowering it with an airride kit. Is this a good idea. I am also get 2 10" subs and euro tailights. Do you think it will look good after i am done? also so i consider a had top tonneau cover? anysites that would help? Would airride or a lowering kit be better? If i lower would groud FX look good?
Thanks

You got some high ambitions there bud, I like to see that.

WE MAY HAVE ANOTHER 98SCREAMER IN THE MAKING HERE BOYS!

I am not knowledgable about lowering kits but I do like like some lowered trucks. An airbag system is pricey but retains factory ride quality and you can slam it to the ground or raise it on demand. A 3-5 drop is lots IMHO and ground effects look sweet, beware of speed bumps and potholes.

As for euro tails they look great.

I take it your XL doesn't have a bunch of painted accesories, I would also consider painting some of your plastic and your front grille, maybe a new billet grille is in your future?

Hard tonneaus are very expensive, my bed is currently naked other than a throw in bed dealie. I used the funds elsewhere on L heads tails and corners and a WMS velocity tube, and I painted all my plastic, except rail caps cause I am gonna break down and get a tonneau soon.

Anyways

Cool My thoughts

Your trucks value:
Check out www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com for an idea.

Airbags good idea?
Yes if you want an adjustable suspension. Slam it for shows and raise it for driving around. Also it will be co$tly. If you don't want that then stick with a regular lowering kit.

Ground Effects?
Yeah they will look good. Check out the Lightning and Roush F-150's they look real good with ground effects! Although if you go with bags you have to be careful not to smash them when let the air out!
Euro lights will look good. I also agree with Jimmar, if you have an XL then you should paint the grille and bumpers to match the rest of your truck. You should check out the follow magazines for some tips and ideas: Street Trucks, Truckin', and Sport Truck. Just a warning though, once you start customizing you won't be able to stop!
