F-150 side badges

So I wanna paint the lettering on my side badges but I don't wanna remove them unless I have to. I thought about getting a Ptm paint pen and paint them in? Anyone ever tried this or thoughts on it?

I tried painting mine flat black out side and the lettering part orange. With much care and patience you can tape all the way around the badge and mask off the fender and the door and spray paint the whole badge the color you want the letters then after that dries quite well tape off the letters with masking tape and then paint the outline or raised part of the badge your other desired color. I had two of my badges perfect and I got impatient with the third badge and got all messed up the paint bubbled and everything. So I ended up buying a new set that were black and red.

I think spraying the paint in will look much better. You can try the pen if you think you can get it all even, but the ones I've seen in person done with non-sprayed paint don't look real good.

I painted my ford emblems black but in the process of getting them off (it was cold outside and I got impatient) I went a little nuts and around the edges I chipped off some of my paint. The OP mentioned PTM paint pens which would do great for me on those touch ups, do they offer ones for my green truck? If so where's the best place to look?

automotivetouchup sells touchup pens that are color-matched. I have one from some other company that I found in a trade-in a work, so there should be some options for you.
