I wanna lower my 97 f150 any one ever cut the springs? If so how's the ride?

 

I cut 1.25 rounds out of mine without issues. Took it off the top and put the damper back on. dropped me about 2 inches. This may or may not be the case on yours. Most of our springs should be close to the same though.
