I would like to black out all of my emblems.

Would I be able to take the f150 badges off of the side and just leave them off?? Same thing with badges on tailgate?? I think it would look cleaner with nothing there. Is there anything behind the emblems that would make me have to leave them on??? Also, how to remove and plastidip?? Hair dryer and fishing string???

so many question marks. as far as debadging the emblems have pins that go through holes in the fender and tailgate. It would probably be 5 times easier if you left the emblems on and just taped and masked off around them.

 

Taking the emblems off is easy, takes 15 minutes for all 3. Use fishin line to get one corner/edge off a bit and then just carefully pry with your hands. A blow dryer helps a lot too. The fenders are only adhesive with the pins and holes purely for alignment. The tailgate badge has two clips on it, but only a small amount of adhesive inbetween the clips. The edges themselves don't have any adhesive.

I put 2013 badges on my 2006, that's how I know this stuff. I don't have the clips on my tailgate badge, just chopped them off. So I'm not sure how it is to remove it, but I imagine it's a little harder than the fenders
