4x4 Decal trouble. Any help?
4x4 Decal trouble. Any help?
So I have the original "4x4" decal that came on my 2010 from Dearborn. I just love the new "4x4 Off Road" decals thry have been putting on the new F150's lately. I ordered a pair of them for my truck, and I took off the existing decal. Anyways I am having a lot of trouble getting the decal on. I had to order another set cause I tried removing the decal from the backing and it would always stick, eventually ripping the decal. It has to be esoer than this. Any help?
It shouldn't be that hard. Clean the area of the bed where you'll be putting them very well. Carefully and slowly expose the adhesive of the vinyl and then use the window tinting method when installing: spray a soapy solution on the area where you will be installing the decal, also spray the decal itself on the adhesive side, place where you want it, then squeegee out all the soapy water, and lastly, promote adhesion with a heat gun, making sure that the decals have completely adhered to the body before removing the backing.
