Inspection with Illegal tint SA, TX

Does anyone possibly know of a place that will pass inspection with the tint too dark in San Antonio? Just thought I would try asking. My fronts are at 26 percent and Im now unable to find anyone that will pass it.

Roll your windows down, pull the relay, tell them they are broken and won't roll up. Problem solved. That is what I used to do before I had my exemption letter from the state.

That really worked for you? That'd never fly here in NJ

OP, I'm in the same boat as you, every 2 years I have to get mine inspected. Do what I did.. Learn how to tint. Peel it off yourself, and re-tint after inspection. Sure it's a pain but it's worked for me and you may have no other option.

Just last year tho, I went to a private (gas station) inspection facility and they inspected it without any questions. Didn't have to re-tint this time around Try it. It just might work.

A forum I used to frequent ls1tech.com had a few people in the Texas section that did inspections. Not sure if any of them are still around though.

Good luck.
