Door Handles
Door Handles
If anybody has ever thought about changing your door handle pulls on your 2004 and up F150 I have a little piece of helpful information.
Your door handle insides are the exact same as aftermarket insides. I replaced the painted door pull on my set with a chrome one and this is how I did it.
To start with the complete kit from Ford (not including paint to match is around $150 ea. But the complete unpainted kit from JC Whitney is $24.50 + free shipping.
I had the white painted door pulls with the white painted surrounds and I wanted chrome pulls. So I ordered the Black painted/Chrome handle kit from JCW respective to the handle I was looking to replace. REPF462116 for the left side and F491321 for the right. **Note** rights and lefts are the exact same with respect to front and rear so the cheapest one you can find will work.
I started by removing the door handles (there is a thread on here for that) and then removing the pulls from the handles and replacing the OEM with the JCW and put it all back together.
For the tailgate I just used the BULLY Stainless Steel stick on one from Advance Autoparts.
All in all I am into to it for $120.00 and it looks great.
