As I understand it, all clear taillights are considered illegal because they have no red reflective material. The "Altezza" type like in the second picture are legal if they are marked with a DOT number on the lense sincce they have the reflective red material. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Luckily I don't have to worry about such a dilemma because I have a flareside bed so I just bought the 01 L tailights which are legal

Question How about clear corners

How about Clear corners? The front turn signals? Does anybody know? I'm just verifying information that I got previously on here. Or do you have to put amber bulbs in? What is the law?

Don't quote me too a cop but I believe they are legal. You must have an amber bulb in them though. And as far as the rears go...gotta have the DOT # and reflective red in them. But you could always play dumb to a cop the first time and get a warning, unless you just left 50 feet of rubber in a parking lot....Not that that has ever happened

The 01 lights come from the factory, so therefore they have a DOT on them somewhere and are legal. If you get any !@#$ over them, tell the officer or go to court and let the judge know they are a factory light. You will need some info on them from Ford if it becomes a court issue. Ford should back you in every way, because they supply the lights as a factory light.

Thanks for the reply's everyone!!!

I prefer the look of the of the clears so I guess this isn't going to work out. The one's shown on the bottom are too high profile for me.
