DIY hydro dipping parts in engine compartment

well I have spent countless hours detailing my engine compartment after the last few months and yesterday pulled off my valve covers for powder coat on monday(doing a chrome powder coat with clear powder coat finish for high gloss) while looking at all at different ways to do enhancements I have been looking in to carbon fiber hydro dipping all of the plastic caps and covers. In my search of getting quotes from companys I have come across a DIY kit that would be reasonably affordable and thinking about purchasing one of these kits to try. I have watched a few videos and the process seems relatively simple but time consuming. I have even found a kit to do a high gloss finish. My question is has any one tried this and dose any have any thoughts or suggestions before i spend the money and time on doing this. i also think im going to buy braided hose kits from summit racing and along with my long tube headers do you think this will be enough to give my engine compartment that much needed look to impress people at car shows? thanks in advance guys!

I have thought about getting one of those kits just to play around with it and see how they turned out, plus they are alot cheaper than having it done by a company. I have watched the whole process in-person and it isn't very difficult, you just have to take your time. I think some carbon fiber in the engine bay would look great.
