Talking Project PTM. check it out!

So I walked out to my truck one day and said to my self, self I don't like chrome what I'm I going to do.

Here is what I did.

My truck before.

Let's start with the fuel door.

I first sand blasted the chrome off it then used a self etching primer and found my paint code and bought like 10 cans off it and clearcoat.

Then I sanded the chrome of my old bumper and got the rust off the back then coated the back with a anti rust paint and painted the front of it and put my trucks name on it just for fun.

OK now for the front bumper. Sorry not Alot of pics.

OK now to take apart the truck, to get ready to put them on.

OK after two days of hard work in 106 degrees. I finally finished it.
I also painted the exhaust tips black with header paint.
Here she is.

So what do you think

Looks great, but I'd lose the grill guard.

Looks MUCH better! I don't like chrome either and have been debating about doing the same thing to my new to me '05.
My '04 (God rest its soul) was Aspen Green/Arizona Beige two tone. No chrome on that one and I really miss that look.

Again good Job! You have inspired me to go ahead and do it.

I though about that but with the black running boards and trim, I think it ties it all together.
