WeatherTrch, Avs, they are all about the same. I don't like inchannel ones because they rubbed on my truck but some do.

People here don't like the ones that mount with tape... I do however. I personally would avoid the in channel ones, but a lot of know-it-alls will tell you the ones that mount with tape are ugly

I guess folks here in Mississippi don't know how to get their tape ones off without ripping their paint off, along with it lol. That is why I'm partial to the in-channels--I've seen farrrr too many Suburbans with paint missing above one window or the tape stuck to the truck.

A little more than two years in, and my Putco vents are still hanging tough.

What did you decide to get johnstonblake? I just brought home my 2012 XLT 4X4 and I'm shopping for vent shades as well. I have a 2002 supercab with Stampede inchannels that have been on the truck since 2004! There is a small piece of tape on the bottom that sticks to the outside of the lower window frame that came loose about a year ago - easily repaired with Gorilla Glue. Other than that - the Stampede's have been great! For what it's worth, based on the quality and longevity of the Stampede's, I was going to get another set for my 2012.
