Lund Trident bugshield
Has anyone installed a Trident bugshield on their F-150 or Expy?
I just recently installed one on my 01 S-crew and am having misgivings with the clip system that holds it to the hood.
Although the clips are fairly well hidden and it's hard to see where it is attached, the thought of the clips on the exterior of the hood worries me in regards to the possibilities of wear on the paint even though the clips are heavily coated in a soft plastic
Plus the screws which hold the clips in place are seated directly on the metal of the underside of the hood and grinds up the paint. I would have preferred it have used the existing holes in the hood for mounting like the Interceptor does.
Any thoughts, comments or recommendations?
