I'm trying to polish a set of wheels I have. I stripped all the old clearcoat off and they are down to bare aluminum. I am using polishing wheels for a drill. The problem I am having is that the compound is building up on the metal and when that happens the wheel gets very shiny and won't cut it off the surface. I have a feling this is an operator error. I did a lot of searching but never could find anything describing what I'm trying to do. I am using the bar compunds.
Anybody have any experience with this?
