Fender Emblems
I was wondering what is behind teh F-150 badges? Are there any holes? Are they just stuck on with doublesided tape. I was thinking of removing them for a cleaner look.
Any help would be appericated.

GS Eagle - I can confirm that there are two holes. When I had the dealer add on all the L stuff, I told them I wanted the side emblems taken off. Because there were holes there, I opted for the "Lightning" badges. Someone else posted on here about installing side marker lights (like the European cars have) over the holes. I thought about doing that if I could find some clear ones that would blend in with my white truck.
Funny,my fenders have three holes. Two small ones for alignment pins, and one big one in the middle. I guess it's to air out the adhesive when it rains? Not a clue,,,,,,,98
If you're looking for clear side marker lamps to fill in the holes, I'd take a look at www.autodynamic.com They have clear side lamps for BMWs and stuff and also a bunch of universal ones. I'd take a look.
What I was wanting to do is put the cobra "snakes" where the f-150 badges are. How close are the holes togetther? Would teh snakes cover the holes? I have a Screw so my holes would be the same?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
The small holes are at the very ends of the stock emblems, and the bigger hole is a little larger than 1/2 inch and has an indention around the perimeter of the hole. So,a Cobra emblem doesn't have a chance of covering them
I really hate that there has to be so many holes in the fenders, makes it diffficult to shave the emblems.,,,,98

There's always the chance to get a pair of billet aluminum emblems off me....bazil4696@netscape.net for a pic.
I machined a few sets, and they are still raw, not polished, not painted. I have them on my fenders, coated with clearcoat from the local hardware store, and they still look good after four or five Canadian winters. They are the same size as the original, except they are 1/2 inch thick, with 1/4 letters machined into them.
