Picked up a Ford brand step tube yesterday for nothing but not sure if it will fit my scab. Guy said it was on a screw. Does anyone know if they are the same part? Also if left and right are interchangeable? Read on here somewhere that these had 3 mounting brackets and were open on the bottom. This one only has 2 brackets and is a solid oval.

The SuperCrew steps had 3 brackets, while the SuperCab steps have 2. Also, the trucks that have factory steps are enclosed, while aftermarket Ford steps are not closed up at the bottom. I'll try to take pics of my truck and my Dad's a lil later today. His '07 XLT came with chrome tube bars, while my '08 STX did not...
