Tail light options...

I've got a dilemma... I was originally planning on getting the clear tails for my flareside, however everyplace I call around here tells me they can no longer get them, and informs me about the whole legality issue... I'm also having an impossible time finding them online...

I e-mailed APC direct, and they only have one part number for all the flaresides (it's the three-bulb setup). I would have to splice in a third bulb (which I really don't want to do) in order to get them to work. So, unless anyone knows of a company that makes the clear tails for the 2-bulb, I think I'll pass on those.

So, given all that, I've got a couple of options... I was thinking about:
1) Euro-tails (though I'm not all that impressed with the looks)
2) lightnings (2-bulbs, but still red and chrome... not what I wanted, but it would work) or possibly
3) slotted covers painted to match (I think the best choice of the three)

What does everyone think? I'd like to see some pics of anything other than the Lightning lights (My dad has one, so I know what they're like) and hear any suggestions you may have...

Here's a pic of the truck... I'm sure you can see why I'd like the all white "clears" for the tails...

Thanx for the help, gang...

oh, I forgot... I've since gotten the chrome OE 17 inch rims... subtle change, but a change no less... That's the most recent pic I have online right now...

Thumbs up

Personally, I like what you do. The euro-tail lights don't really appeal to me. Go with the painted slots.

Lightbulb

If you want clear lights, go to "www.mrtaillight.com. Get the phone # from teh bottom of the home page and give him a call. I just got the rears, frons, and corners for my supercrew for $425. Installed in less than an hour.
