I want to run a black grille on my truck but i dont wanna go screwin with my factory grey honeycomb grille, so i was thinking about buying a mesh insert and painting it black and mounting it over top. Has anyone done this or seen it done? Im worried it may show the factory grille through it and ruin the look

 

It will ruin the look. I did that once. This time I just cut the dang thing and it looks great.

 

Try Grillecraft. They make a black mesh grille.

Is that over top of factory grille? also im really diggin those heads and corners. where did you find em and how much were they?

 

Street Scenes speed grille that clipped over my Lariat grille. Didn't look too bad but kind of flimsy. This was on my '04 Lariat that I sold last year.

 

Nice 04 there. that actually doesnt look that bad. im basically trying to decide whether to go with white,black,grey theme, or white,chrome/polished theme for my rig
