truck is a 2001 f150 xlt 5.4L
need info on how to get the plastic off the oem
running boards so i can repair the metal plate under it.

 

checked out the running board today at work and figured out to get
it apart. there are 3 small nuts on each end underneath the board.
the rubber top is 2 faced 3m taped down and under that there is
3 more small nut head screws. problem you will run into is the
screws on each end will spin under the rubber mat and not come loose.
