Painted oval and removed paint from emblems (Pics inside)

Today i painted the oval on the fornt of the truck and removed the paint from the chipping chrome emblems on the sides and back of the truck. Because i crave the opinions of others, take a look and let me know what you think! Also i apologize for the crappy quality of the pics and the dirtiness of the truck it will be washed this weekend!

And the one im most proud of...the oval

The oval is Black and chrome just in case you cant see it clearly

I bought some stuff from oreilly's called "aircraft paint remover" and applied it to the letters with a Q-tip. It bubbles off litterally in seconds! i was quite impressed.

I got some nite shades and painted it over the oval. Then wet sanded the chrome with some 1000 grit. Then sprayed a coat of clear over it and called it done. I really like the way it came out

This would only work on the 06 and up ovals with the raised chrome lettering. I want a different color overlay, but no one makes any that have "Ford" lettering.

You could try enamel paint & a paint brush & clear it. I'm trying that on mine & used epoxy resin to "seal" it. I used enamel model car paint on my ovals & the epoxy resin hid the paint brush lines. It's a p.i.t.a but since you just wanted to do the lettering it shouldn't take that long. I've got a pic if you want it.
Rhonda.
