97-03 flareside supercrew bed swaps

I have a 01 f150 supercab flareside, I've looked and searched on the site for my question and came up with a couple of resources but I would still like to ask the question. Can you swap a flareside bed with a supercrew bed? I know I have a 6.5 ft bed vs the 5.5 bed, but would the 1 less foot actually matter that much? The reason being is I want to order fiberglass for my truck. And personally I would like to go with a supercrew bedside rather than the flareside bedsides. Posted are the two. If I could somehow fit screw bedsides on my truck then we would be in business. I have already contacted a couple different fiberglass companies to see if they can stretch the screw bedsides. But if you guys have any ideas let me know. Thanks!

Is there a reason you want the other bedsides? Install is gonna be pretty much the same amount of work either way, and it can be knocked out in about a weekend.

And no the bed won't bolt up, your mounts are in different places and you'd have to make some adjustments to the frame.

As for stretching them it shouldn't be too hard if you know your way around fiberglass, there's a guy over on dezertrangers who cut and stretched a set for a 4runner iirc. I can try and dig up the link for it if you want.

I just like the look of the bedsides on the supercrew. I liked the buldge of the stepside but Im not exactly too thrilled on the way the stepside bedsides look from mcneil. Maybe its just the truck theyre on but they just dont do it for me like the others. I actually got a call back form fiberwerx and they said they would be able to stretch the bedsides so I think I will be good.
