Was it difficult getting the door handles off? What kind of paint did you use? Did you prime and clearcoat? Looks great man! My wife is going to kill me now that I'm going to have to do the same thing.

Looks great.

I just bought the painted LT handles (with the chrome levers) from Tasca and I am going to be PTM'ing the mirror caps this week when the paint arrives

The handles were easy after the first one drivers door was the hardest because of the keyhole rod but all in all pretty easy. I sanded it all smooth paid a body shop to prime paint and clear it all it was $175 for mirror caps and all 5 handles so not bad. I have my old set in the classifieds if your interested let me know

Was the $175 the entire price, or was the painting part $175? I'm interested in doing mine (I had them on my 2010 Lariat), but don't want to spend too much. Wife is happy I found my 05 Scab for a steal.

I don't have glossy b pillars. But I know a guy with a 04 Lariat that does.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's what he paid to get his stock textured handles sanded and painted, that's a cheap price. If you want Mark LT handles with the chrome pull there a little over $200 already painted. If you want solid PTM handles you can buy new smooth Harley handles like I did for about the same price as Mark LT but you have to get them painted, they cost more in total. Or have your stocks sanded and painted (cheap route).

So glad mine are glossy compared to most who have flat.

Yeah I don't know why ford would only do that for one year. Friend of mines got an 05 KR and he doesn't even have them. They can't cost that much.. Weird.
