Should I paint it black?

Hey guys, I am purchasing a 6" lift, nitto trail grapplers, and black rhino sidewinders soon. Since my wheels will be black and I dont have chrome bumpers(mine are the color of my truck) I wanted to paint my grille black. It was on the truck when I bought it. Im thinking maybe I should leave the chrome border around it alone and just do the verticle lines. (the wheels im getting have a chrome cap So I suppose it would flow) . Im just trying ideas out in my head. Any suggestions?

Pick up a few Red Scotch Brite pads from Auto Zone and take your time scuffing the chrome up. Once ALL of the chrome is scuffed, Spray a few light coats of self etching primer, Also available at Auto Zone. Then finish with 4-5 light coats of Rustoleum matte black wheel paint.

As much as I am a fan of black. Just did my sidesteps and working on my chrome bumpers, (gonna get flat black vinyl wraps) I would wait and see how it looks with the new wheels and tires. See if u like the look as they are not full black and have chrome accents and go from there. Would be bad if u have 2nd thoughts about a black grill with the new wheels.

Ya I'd wait till you get everything on first you might like it as is. Idk if that grille in black would look right.

i like it, but i agree with everyone that you ought to get the other stuff done first and see how it looks before you paint it

ya definitely. I think it would look even better If I did the black like you showed but did the chrome outline white to match the truck like blackout said.

have patman make you a patman gille for your truck. he uses the stock honey comb and removes the ford emblem so its only honeycomb. and he's local to you.
