So I recently painted my sidesteps black and put them back on. I am 6'2" so don't really need them, but of course the lady wanted them on. What do u think looks better? With or without? I plan on blacking out the bumpers as well, just haven't figured out a cost effective way to get it done. May go with vinyl wraps in flat black if it can be done.

I took my steps off after I lifted my truck. I think no step bars just looks a lot cleaner. However, I got clearance from the girlfriend to remove mine.
My 2 cents: remove them. But try and convince the lady to be ok with it first. And if she still says no and you want to do it anyway, well you better do something real nice for her before she sees your truck without steps.

She rides in it about once a week or less as we take the car with gas being so high. I will probably end up taking them off. I agree that it looks cleaner and I hate how they stick out past the tires if looking at the truck straight on.
I'm doing the bumpers either way. Went yesterday to a local wrap guy and he had a buyer back out of some flat black wraps for an f 150. He started the quote at 250 for front and back installed and then dropped it down to 200 which seems reasonable. He owns wrapworldinc.com. he has done quite a bit of work around here so I will be getting them done Monday the 9th. Then just headlights and grill and I should be done.....for now.

I vote to leave off. The truck looks higher and gives it a cleaner look. Sell them and save up for some of these, AMP steps. The best Investment on the truck so for. Gives a clean look, but still gives you a lift.

Those are nice. Like I said I don't need them that bad at all, but the retracting steps would be the way to go. I like your truck with the new wheels, looks great. Did u heat your fx4 decals when u removed them? And u will be glad to hear, I am one of those with black wheels and Chrome bumpers and I will be getting vinyl wraps in flat black for them soon.
