Does anyone know if a F-150 Platinum grill will fit in a F-150 Fx-4? They sure look the same.I hate the black one thats in my Fx-4 it looks cheep and its ugly as hell

 

Yes, they snap/bolt right in, but removing the clips along the top edge of the hood is a real pain if you are trying to save the grill. They are not as simple as just removing the nuts on the back side.

 

Thanks for the info. Iv also found out that you dont just go in and buy a Platnim grill. you need to use the vin# off of a Platnim in befor they will order one.

Your parts guy is just being lazy, and ****. If he felt like doing his job, and a wee bit of leg work to help his customer, he could find the right part for you no problem. He almost makes it sound like ford won't sell you a platinum grill unless you own a platinum. I'd tell him to do his job, or ask his boss to tell him to do his job.

 

Haha your rite about that. I had two dealerships tell me that they didnt make them or they couldnt get one so i asked them so what your telling me is that if i had a Platnim and i wrecked it that i cant get a grill for it? I told him that hes full of crap and walked out
