Hey everyone. I'm buying an HD grille for my truck from the dealership. My quick question was does it come with a surround or can I use my old one? I need to know because I'm not sure if I'll need to paint it and if I do I'm going to need to get pricing from my bodyshop on painting it. Thanks.

 

Yes it will come with a non painted surround but you can simply use your surround and sell the new surround to recoop some money

 

Ok, is it hard to transfer the grille from surround to surround??

 

It's easy just take your time and read up on how others have changed their grilles out.

 

When I purchased my HD grill from my local ford parts department a few years back it came with a pre-painted black surround so just a heads up!

 

Very easy to do. A cheap heat gun or good hairdryer, some flat nosed screw drivers and a little patience and you will be good to go.
