I have a 2010 and i'd like to paint or smoke my F150 badges on the fenders and tailgate. I'd rather not do it on the truck. Does anyone know if these are just glued or taped on? I read somewhere to heat up with hair dryer and use fishing line or floss behind it to take off. But I'm not sure if there is a hole behind it that would prevent that.

 

they are held on with double sided tape. i used fishing line on mine without the hair dryer and it still worked fine. there are 2 pins on each emblem so use the fishing line to go to each pin and that should give you enough to just pry the emblem off. i used 3m tape to put them back on, no problems yet.

 

yes they are tape i did not heat mine up they are pretty easy to get of besides the back tailgate one. it is held on by by the glue and cips when u do the tailgate make sure there is no glue connecting the emblem to the truck before u start messing with the clips if u need more info feel free to ask
