Need help painting the emblems

Need help painting the emblems

So i installed my grillecraft billet grille and i have the emblem that used to be on the front and i want to paint it and put it back on.

Id like to change the blue to black and repaint the chrome, any suggestions?
tape off letter and spray paint? then clear coat?

I need help please

I used nite-shades on mine. Did about 5-6 coats of that stuff to get it basically black and then a couple coats of clear. I masked off the letters and used an exacto to get the curves and edges and then left the outer oval part chrome. Just the other day I decided to go ahead and spray the whole thing black with nite-shade. But I will say after I had done some sanding there seems to be a film on the emblem that is kinda peeling up. It's weird I don't know if it's a protective coating or what. Just a heads up. Maybe don't sand too hard or something. Hope that helps!

Use a crayon on the parts you want to stay chrome paint it then rub off the crayon that seems the easiest me I am getting rid of the chrome so i didnt bother

Should work, crayon would not absorb the paint. Or you could spray them and hand paint the letters.
