Only way a flatbed looks good is on a drw truck imo. I guess that looks better than a flatbed would look on a 1/2ton
I have to agree here. If the thing is going to have a 5th wheel or gooseneck on it at all times(enough to justify the mod), why wouldn't you "truck up" and get a diesel 3/4-1ton. The savings in fuel alone would justify the cost expenditure, and you know that bed mod wasn't cheap.
I kind of equate this to using a vice-grip as a hammer instead of the proper ball peen. It might get the job done, but there's definitely something out there that's a much better tool for the job.
